Former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile and former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele kicked off �Ӱ���̳’s Road to the White House series on Sept. 4.

�Ӱ���̳’s academic community will come together for moments of learning and civic engagement this month during The Road to the White House: �Ӱ���̳’s 2024 Election Series, presented by the Office of the President and the Lampert Institute for Civic and Global Affairs.

Despite the dire warnings that artificial intelligence will create major disruptions to the economy, higher education, and society as a whole, AI expert Avi Goldfarb remains optimistic about its potential.

�Ӱ���̳’s interdisciplinary experts in authoritarianism and the postsocialist regions of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia have collaborated to educate students and the greater public about the crisis in Ukraine and to raise awareness about organizations providing relief for refugees of the conflict.

�Ӱ���̳’s Lampert Institute for Civic and Global Affairs welcomed Christopher Blattman, professor in the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and author of Why We Fight.

After two years of careful planning, a reimagined Lampert Institute boasts new areas of inquiry to guide research and course design and an expanded summer research program.
